A great reminder that everything we do, we do to become better writers and increase our chance of being published. And that includes the beating our egos take from our crit partners and our rejections from agents. We can whine or we can push ourshelves harder like these athletes. We can succeed!

Great post! I agree whining does nothing, it's okay to pout for a moment, howver the pouting could be better served on paper. Make yourself better, work hard. It's the only way to truly succeed!

Always a good reminder. The whole "writing a book thing" has been way harder than I counted on. lol. It's so worth it though. It's enriched my life in countless ways, and definitely worth the occasional pouty moment. Just gotta keep plugging away. :)
At least our bodies aren't so bruised at the end of the day--just our egos. And egos heal faster. That's why chocolate was invented. :D
