And the winners are . . .

And the winners of the Stina portion of Stina and Steena’s OMG! contest (as selected by random.org) are . . .

*drum roll in the background*

Shannon O’Donnell who gets a $20 gift card from her choice of Barnes & Noble or Borders.

and

Courtney Barr who gets a $15 gift card.

Congratulations winners!

And thanks everyone for making the contest such a huge success.

I’m going unplugged today since my six year old has a performance this afternoon, and I really really have to finish editing my wip by the end of the month. I’ll return tomorrow with Cool Links Friday and the winner of the novel, Twenty Boy Summer.

Contest News!

What do you get when take two chocoholics with the same first name, who live in the same city, who write fiction, and who are celebrating a milestone?

You get the Steena & Stina’s OMG! Contest

Last weekend, Steena came up with the idea of having a contest after I added the Follower Widget to my blog. Yeah, I know, why I didn’t think of that in the first place? At the time, I had 30 followers. Steena thought I should celebrate having 50 wonderful followers (When I posted this, I'd already hit  91).

Cool. Great idea.

We thought about doing a first line of your ms contest or a really bad query contest.

Not a great idea. I knew I’d love all the submissions, and, well, we couldn’t afford that.

So then we thought of doing an arm wrestling contest like Lisa & Laura Roecker recently did.

But then Steena saw my bulging biceps and chickened out. Oh well.

In the end, we decided to do the regular contest which you get more entries for each of the following things you do (see the entry form).

Now right now you’re thinking, “But what are the prizes?”

You’ll have to check out Steena’s blog to see her prizes. *winks*

From me, you have the chance to win either a $20 or $15 gift card from Chapters Indigo (Canada), Barnes & Noble, or Borders. (I added a prize when my follower count hit 70!).

What about if you’re not from Canada or the US and you win? Don’t worry, I’ll figure something out.

Here's what you have to do to enter:

*BE A FOLLOWER OF BOTH BLOGS

*FILL IN THE FORM BELOW.

The contest ends May 3rd 11:59 p.m. EST. I'll use a random number generator to select the winner. The winner will be announced on Thursday May 6th, and notified by email.

(Note: if you're having trouble finding the submit button, just scroll down on the entry form. The rest of the questions and the button will show up.)

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Okay, READY. SET. GO:

THE CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED!

Great News for Contest Junkies

Here’s some info on two contests I wanted to share with you. They’re perfect for contest junkies. In other words, ME!

If you haven’t heard the big news yet—and seriously, if you haven’t, where’ve you been?—Beth Revis just signed a three book deal with Razorbill for her YA SF series. How cool is that? And no, you didn’t hear any jealousy in my voice. *winks*

In honor of her great news, Beth is holding a contest. Check it out now!

Are you working on your query? Check out Gretchen McNeil’s blog for some great query writing advice and a chance to win a query critique. Now who doesn’t want that?
